Redline International 🇹🇹 Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 Athletes Update Tyra Gittens-Spotsville Competes at World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing Nanjing, China – March 23, 2025 Trinidad and Tobago’s Tyra Gittens-Spotsville proudly represented the twin-island nation at the World Athletics Indoor Championships, finishing 12th in the women’s long jump final with a leap of 6.36 meters. The competition, held at the state-of-the-art Nanjing Indoor Arena, featured some of the world’s best jumpers in a thrilling battle for podium spots. Gittens-Spotsville, a seasoned international competitor and multi-event specialist, entered the event looking to test herself against elite global talent. While she fell short of the medal positions, her performance placed her among the top jumpers in the world, reinforcing her status as one of Trinidad and Tobago’s premier track and field athletes. The event was won by Claire Bryant (USA), who secured gold with a personal best of 6.96 meters, while Switzerland’s Annik Kälin (6.83m) and Spain’s Fátima Diame (6.72m) completed the podium. Despite not making the top eight, Gittens-Spotsville’s presence at the Championships is a testament to her continued excellence and resilience in the sport. Her journey remains an inspiration for young athletes back home, as she continues to fly the Trinidad and Tobago flag high on the international stage. With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games behind her, the national standout now turns her focus to the outdoor season, where she will aim to build on this performance and push for even greater success. Final Standings – Women’s Long Jump 1️⃣ Claire Bryant (USA) – 6.96m PB 2️⃣ Annik Kälin (SUI) – 6.83m 3️⃣ Fátima Diame (ESP) – 6.72m … 1️⃣2️⃣ Tyra Gittens-Spotsville (TTO) – 6.36m Stay tuned as we continue to follow Tyra Gittens-Spotsville’s journey and the progress of Trinidad and Tobago’s top track and field stars. #TeamTTO
